Burt Williams has over 34 years of experience in energy related management including his role as CEO with five firms, two of which he founded. Prior to his appointment as CEO of Rimrock Resource Partners, LLC and Rimrock Resource Operating, LLC, Burt was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of White Stone Energy, LLC were his responsibilities included executive management duties along with overseeing the execution of the commercial and operational strategy for White Stone and its client companies. Burt started White Stone in 2001 where he initially provided advisory services that generated over $300 million in transaction value on six assignments. Between 2009 and 2014 White Stone managed four (4) companies on behalf of two (2) financial institutions, Macquarie Bank and Brevet Capital. White Stone’s focus was on returning the company’s assets to profitability and designing an exit strategy for its clients. From 2005 to 2008, Burt took leave of his responsibilities at White Stone in order to accept a role with Macquarie Bank where he became CEO of Macquarie Longview Acquisitions, a Macquarie Bank upstream investment vehicle. Macquarie Longview operated 5 fields, associated gathering systems and a gas processing plant in SW Arkansas. These assets where sourced, acquired, optimized, drilled and exited delivering a significant return to equity. The Macquarie Longview assets were sold to Bonanza Creek Energy in May 2008 where Burt accepted a short term role as CEO of a Bonanza Creek Energy subsidiary which managed the former Macquarie Longview assets.
Prior to founding White Stone Energy, Burt was Director Business Development at Torch Energy Advisors, a leading energy industry asset manager and advisory firm. While at Torch, Burt was responsible for developing and implementing a business plan to source property trades and lead transactions through closing with subsequent asset management responsibility over multiple North American energy basins. Burt led or participated in various project roles resulting in the acquisition of over $1 billion in asset value for either Torch’s managed partnerships or its two publicly traded entities, Nuevo Energy (now part of Plains E&P) and Bellwether Exploration (now part of PetroHawk).
As founder and President of Tascosa Land Co., Burt provided consulting services on $150 million in transactions focused in the Mid Continent region. Tascosa also developed drilling and exploration opportunities for a limited number of managed investors. Burt began his career in 1981 with the Land Department at Texaco, Inc. in New Orleans
Dallas Dobbs joined Rimrock Resource Operating, LLC with over 30 years of experience in the Energy sector, almost all of which was spent in a financial and marketing capacity. Prior to Rimrock, Dallas was the VP of Finance at Silver Oak Energy an EnCap backed venture. His career includes participation in many successful ventures such as VP of Finance & Marketing at Athlon Energy an Apollo backed venture focused in the Permian Basin and VP of Finance at Ovation I an Encap backed venture eventually sold to Comstock. Dallas has served as the Senior Gas Supply Rep for Enogex and Controller and VP of Marketing for Hugoton Energy where he was responsible for the SEC reporting, compliance, audit and tax functions. He has a M.B.A. and B.S. in Business-Accounting from Fort Hays State University.
Michael C. Evans joined Rimrock Resource Operating, LLC with over 30 years of experience in the inland basins of North America, specializing in the Oklahoma and Permian Basins. Prior to Rimrock, Michael had founded Imperial Exploration where he spent four years developing several geological concepts included conventional and resource type plays. It was these concepts that became the basis for a $75 million capital investment by Post Oak Energy Capital and Ceja Corporation to form Rimrock Resource Operating, LLC.
Michael spent much of his career generating drilling concepts for mid-size companies such as Latigo, Pogo, Laredo, Helmerich & Payne and for smaller companies such as Home-Stake and KWB. Michael’s areas of expertise and focus have been on the Anadarko, Arkoma, Ouachita and Permian Basins.
Evans graduated from University of Tulsa, College of Engineering with a Bachelor Degree in Geology. Evans has been a member of AAPG and Tulsa Geological Society for over 30 years. He also served as board member and Secretary of the Tulsa Petroleum Club for two terms.
Debra D. Langley is a certified professional landman with over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry. She has a bachelors of Business Administration Degree and obtained her CPL certification in 1992. She is knowledgeable and experienced in all facets of land management. Prior to joining the Rimrock team she was president of Langley Land Company, LLC. During Ms. Langley’s career she has been employed by several Tulsa E&P companies such as PetroQuest Energy, Inc., Cimarex Energy Co., Oxley Petroleum Company, Home-Stake Oil and Gas Company and Kaiser Francis Oil and Gas Company. Debra has served on the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Association of Professional Landmen and is a past president of the TAPL. She has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Professional Landmen. Mrs. Langley is very committed to her family and her community. She is actively involved in Rotary having served on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Sand Springs for multiple terms. She is a long time member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and has served on the vestry in many capacities.
Mr. James B. Lollar is a principle partner of Rimrock Resource Operating, LLC. Previously he was with Laredo Petroleum as Drilling Supervisor over Permian Operations. Mr. Lollar has been associated with the start-up, development and selling of four start-up companies, Lariat, Latigo, Crow Creek II and Crow Creek III. He served as both a staff Engineer and Operations Manager responsible for Drilling and Completion operations with property sets in Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. Prior to the start-up companies, he began his career with Marathon Oil Company in 1990. His responsibilities were in Drilling and Completion operations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Oklahoma. Mr. Lollar received a B.A. from Montana Tech University.
Gary B. Smallwood, Vice President of Reservoir Engineering, is the technical person primarily responsible for overseeing the preparation of our reserve estimates. He has more than 40 years of practical experience with 32 years being in the estimation and evaluation of reserves. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri School of Science and Technology and is a life member in good standing of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Gary's experience includes successful careers at ARCO, Samson and Laredo with primary emphasis on the Anadarko, Permian and Delaware Basins. His most recent assignment was as an Officer and Vice President of Reservoir Modeling and Field Development Planning at Laredo Petroleum Inc.
Melissa Goodwin serves as Controller and HR Manager with over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Rimrock, Melissa was employed with Ceja Corporation, a privately owned oil and gas company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was responsible for overseeing various Corporate Accounting, Employee Relations, Environmental, Health and Safety and Risk Management functionalities. Melissa started her career in Joint Interest Billing and Revenue Accounting with companies such as British Petroleum and Newfield Exploration. She has a Masters in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelors in Finance and Economics from Kansas State University. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a member of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance, Society of Human Resource Management and Desk and Derrick Club of Tulsa.
