In 2012, Michael Evans teamed with Ceja Corporation in an effort to create an investment portfolio of oil and gas opportunities identified by Mr. Evans.  With over 30 years of experience in the inland basins of North America, specializing in the Oklahoma and Permian Basins, Mr. Evans has been a key contributor to several successful programs and generated several ideas that are now recognized as major producing trends.

Burt Williams was introduced to Ceja and Mr. Evans in 2013.  As a seasoned industry executive, Mr. Williams brings significant guidance related to the business strategy and support in capitalization of the company.  Rimrock Resource Partners, LLC was formed in 2015 through funding commitments provided by the Rimrock Resource Operating team and Ceja with the majority of the initial equity commitment coming from Post Oak Energy Capital.

In July 2016, Rimrock Resource Partners, LLC (Rimrock) announced that it closed a $150 million acquisition of assets from an undisclosed seller.  The oil and gas assets cover approximately 24,500 net leasehold acres that are 100 percent held by production, approximately 2,100 BOE/D and 3,100 net mineral acres located predominately in the Golden Trend portion of the SCOOP play.

Rimrock is a Tulsa, Oklahoma based and managed by a group of industry veterans including Burt Williams as CEO, Dallas Dobbs as CFO, Michael Evans as VP of Exploration, James Lollar as VP of Engineering, Debra Langley as VP of Land and Gary Smallwood as VP of Reservoir Engineering.  “I am extremely pleased to be working with such a highly regarded team,” says Mr. Williams.

Rimrock’s focus will be on exploration, acquisition and development opportunities, primarily in the Mid-Continent region.  Rimrock’s initial target will be in the Woodford Shale, one of the most economically attractive resource plays in the country.
